PURPOSE:

'The purpose of the Symposium is to develop the four elements of a Framework for SME Development in the Southern & Eastern Caribbean based on issues and ideas presented at a Symposium in Port-of-Spain on June 5th 2008. The agenda involves panel discussions, presentations and an open forum.

SME DevFin will share the proceedings of the Symposium with all stakeholders in the Caribbean in the expectation that institutions such as IDB will further develop and promulgate the Framework. All discussions will be audio-taped to facilitate preparation of a final document to be published by SME DevFin by mid-November. Approximately 60 persons have been invited to participate.
